The DOLE NVFO is again undertaking the task of guiding all college / vocational graduating students through the conduct of Employment Counseling program in coordination with the colleges, universities and tech-voc schools in the province. This program aims to help young job seekers to overcome the stressful adventures and challenges of job hunting.
Further, the implementation of the program will guide and lead them to the correct way on how and where to look for a job. The module also includes some tips on how to present themselves confidently to prospective employers and how to answer properly on questions raised during interview.
Meanwhile, DOLE NVFO OIC Engr. Joseph B. Sales keep on advising young job seekers that they should abreast themselves with the Labor Market trend of a certain region for them to be guided on the available occupations or vacancies offered by the companies and enabling them also to have an idea on the probability of having a gainful employment. Further, he also emphasized that only authentic credentials should always be presented in supporting their qualifications in applying for a job.
Moreover, DOLE NVFO resource person discussed the Anti-Illegal Recruitment Campaign (AIRC) program as guidance to those who may opt for overseas employment. This will also evade the modus operandi of illegal recruiters leading job applicants to be victims of human trafficking.
The young students were also advised to use the PhilJobNet website and the Job Search Kiosks available in their area to minimize expenses and exert lesser effort and time in searching for a good job.
Schedules of Job Fairs were also announced in every activity being conducted.
